We keep coming down on people for missing the rollcalls when they come up in the OOC. Naturally when someone asks for an IC Rollcall, players should answer as promptly as possible for those that wish to join in.
Of course while you're playing, this can be sometimes difficult, having to watch the IC as well as the OOC.
First of all, don't call for an RC unless you intend to go in play AT THAT MOMENT. Don't call an RC if you're curious as to who is in play, and then decide not to jump in. That's not cool. If you want to ask "who's in play" or "what's going on IC" that's fine. But don't make all the players watch the OOC and respond to satiate your curiosity.
Secondly, when someone calls for a RC, all OOC conversations should halt for a few minutes, unless they are DIRECTLY RELATED to what is going on AT THAT MOMENT in the IC. I can't tell you how many times I've missed a RC because jibbering has pushed the RC request right off the screen. (Along with those answering the RC). Infact I most often see people /answering/ the RC than the RC itself. That's not right.
If you ask for an RC and don't get one (or only a couple of characters reply) then you can ask an op to post <<ROLLCALL>> in the IC channel. Do not ever post that without an op's permission in the IC channel though!
