There's a new exploit that people can abuse on the newer versions of mIRC. This means they can initiate dcc with your client without your acknowledgement. Joy. Great way to spread viruses.

The Fix.

-Ankh- if you are using mIRC, please check http://www.mirc.com/get.html for the update. DO NOT get it from just anywhere... mirc.com or a mirror listed there. Unless you update, people can make your mIRC crash because of a bug.
