Since we're getting so many CS's lately, and the ops are understandably busy, we've decided to open up the reviewing job to our regular users. The main reasons for this are: #1. The ops are busy people with their own lives #2. The ops really need to be watching the RP/OOC channels while they're on, not fighting with CS's. and #3. The CS's are taking too long before they're getting approved.

So, here's how it works. We need volunteers. But wait, there are some qualifications you have to reflect before we'll allow you to even volunteer.

#1. You need to be a regular (RP at least 3-4 days of the week) player.
#2. You must have joined Kaerwyn 4 months prior to volunteering. We will be using your Kaerwyn forum signup day for that.
#3. You must have a firm grasp of the rules, the understanding of Logical Flow, and the God Test.
#4. You can't have ever been in serious trouble in the past (ie, banned, kicked for being a jerk, etc)

The staff, of course, reserves the right to select or reject the reviewers as they see fit.

Okay so here's how this is going to work. First, we need to know who wants to volunteer (reply here if you are volunteering). Secondly we're going to post some "test" CS's in the very near future. You are to review these CS's and PM them, along with your reviews to me. I will post your reviews in the op forum and we will vote on whether or not you 'passed' the test. If you pass, you'll be added to the reviewer usergroup. If you fail, then you get a PM from me, and probably an explanation why.

After we start adding on reviewers, we're going to have some changes made to the entire CS reviewing process. All reviews must be checked over by at least two people. In addition to that, all CS's must have final approval done by an op.

That is all for now.

I would like to volunteer my time reviewing CS's. I even look at all the new CS's myself and read the responses from the ops to get a better understanding of the God test and mistakes that people make.

I'd say I was in for the same reasons as WereJag, (I read through a bunch of older CSes as well before making the one for Maoric), but I don't have the board time yet.

If the offer is still around in 3 months, I'm up for it :)

Well, I'm not sure I'd be wanted, but I can try out to see if I can be of help at least.

I'd just like to say that i'd like to volunteer, even though i don't meet the first requirement. so i guess i'm just saying that i'd like to if i can some day meet the requirements.

Okay, I've decided to hold off the CS review jobs until now so those of you who volunteered would actually meet the minimum time requirement. So expect to see "Test CS's" in your PM inbox within the next week. I want you to reply (separately) with your full review as if you were actually reviewing submitted CS's.

If anyone else wants to apply, feel free. If you have any questions, ask here.

I'll be gone for the next week. Will have to do anything in-depth related to the forums the following week.

Just a small note while this thread is up in the top and all. If there's ever an opening I'd really like to give it a try.

Well, I have less then a month until I have been here for 4 months.... And I have written a fair few CSes. much to the annoyance of the ops. :) I have some remarks on CSes before, and I am currently helping a friend of mine make a CS.

I hope that that will be enough so that I can be considered when June 10th rolls around.

Well... if you still need them, I volunteer up.

Same here. If room is left in the end, I'd be interested in it.

Hmm i've been here enough for time time min. So if you still want these i could do it. So if this is still being done, and there are places left i'll help out.
So i volunteer, if these are still needed.

Yes, Yes I know that I joined only a short while ago (don't hurt me), but I have to much free time. So when 4 months rolls around, feel free to use me if you need some help.

Tomorrow is the 10th, and thus the 4 month time period is done. I am available.

Okay, I told myself I wouldn't do this, but hell. I can at least catch the obvious mistakes, I've made enough of 'em myself!
And yes, I'm interested in becoming a CS reviewer.

Okay volunteers. Please point your browsers at the new Critique forum. This is where you're going to help us out the most.

This is kind of the same thing we were doing, but it's less official, which means you won't get in trouble for goof-ups. The CS's then will not go on review until they are actually submitted to the Wayside.

Any CS that looks like it's got a lot of mistakes will be moved to the Crit forum, and then you guys can do the dirty work, leaving the ops to look over more polished CS's.

Please mind the rules, however.
